Legoland

Just on our way home from Legoland with my borrowed child. Has been a lovely, hot, day.

The rides were good, the new model of Cape Canaverel was very impressively detailed - even if it was not worth waiting for the count down as all that happened was steam! I came away from the shop really wanting a Lego chess set, but instead got another new keyring (they do not last - arms and legs fall off) and some magnets. I wish I lived closer so I could justify the annual pass, but then also I do not have the loan child available on demand either.

Tonight at St John we had a play with Wiltshire Ambulance's decontamination suits.

Hard to get on, hard to get off, very hot, but good to know about.

Moving story.

My life is finally out of storage. I have just sent the day driving the largest van in the world, and along with m'friends Andy and Mike we have moved a load from Guildford to the flat, via Ikea where I bought a new Wardrobe, chest of draws, tables and bits and bobs. It was a long day, so rather than sort everything out now, I have left it all to finish another day. I just hope I will be able to find the legs for my settee and my iron!

Flat purchase complete

It is official, I am back in the world of the home owner. We completed on my flat purchase a couple of hours ago, and I have just moved a few things in, all seems good. Only a spot of double glazing condensation to worry about - not something I saw when viewing - and a lick of paint would be nice, as well as some new flooring, but nothing desperate. I will be getting the rest in next week, and then I need to go to Ikea.

Theory test.

Motorcycle theory test passed, multiple choice questions scored 34/35 and hazard perception test scored 51/75. The only preparation I have done is 3 years' car and 2 years' motorcycle experience. I even got the "priority over oncoming vehicles" sign for the traffick calming thing right, and I never know that normally.
